Industry representatives from Germany, Switzerland and other parts of Europe gathered in Zurich on 5 November for a conference hosted by the German Business Aviation Association (GBAA) and the Swiss Business Aviation Association (SBAA).
Exciting presentations gave attendees an insight into the development of business aviation. For example, the GBAA announced its intention to intensify its political work and the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) highlighted the current challenges facing European associations.
To round off the informative day, BHS Aviation and Textron Aviation hosted an exclusive evening event at the Dübendorf Air Force Centre. The museum of historic Swiss aircraft provided a unique atmosphere for networking.
Over 150 guests spent an inspiring evening together in Dübendorf with dinner, bar service and a spectacular show. All participants had the opportunity to exchange views on the current challenges and the future of business aviation and to make valuable contacts.

Successful debut at EBACE 2023 for BHS Aviation
EBACE 2023 was a great success. For the first time, the BHS Aviation Group presented itself to the interested, international trade audience at Europe's largest trade show EBACE 2023 in Geneva with its own booth in the outdoor area. The highlight and visitor favorite was BHS Aviation's new Citation Latitude, which could be inspected on site.
BHS Aviation takes advantage of Europe's growing charter market
With the activation of the Swiss AOC (Air Operator Certificate) for fixed-wing aircraft, BHS Aviation is responding to developments in the European charter market.

BHS Aviation contributes to medical care in the Ukraine
The BHS Aviation Group is donating 5,000 Euros to a project run by "Mrija". The non-profit organization was founded in Würzburg immediately after the start of the war in Ukraine and provides aid for the Ukrainian population. One focus is on supplying clinics and hospitals with pharmaceuticals as well as medical equipment and supplies.
The money donated by BHS Aviation stems from a raffle at the "Treffpunkt Airport" trade fair in Schwäbisch Hall. The equivalent value of the panoramic flights with our BO105 over the Adolf Würth Airport was raised by BHS Aviation and made available for medical aid in the Ukraine.

Innovations and future strategies of decentralized aviation
On June 28 and 29, 2022, the "Treffpunkt: Airport" trade show took place at the airfield in Schwäbisch Hall (EDTY). The focus was on the climate-friendly transformation of decentralized aviation. Disruptive technologies and mobility trends in aviation were highlighted at presentations, panel discussions and workshops.
BHS Aviation Group presented its service portfolio such as executive charter of jets and helicopters, aircraft management and handling services on the outdoor area. Visitors could also view the Leonardo AW109SP business helicopter.

BHS Aviation GmbH receives unlimited CAMO approval
The German Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics (LBA) has granted our company an unlimited Continuing Airworthiness Management Approval (CAMO) effective March 15, 2022.
In this conversion process, the temporary approved CAMO according to Regulation (EU) No. 1321/2014 Annex 1 (Part M) Section A Subpart G was successfully transitioned to one according to Annex Vc (Part CAMO) and completed. In this context, the corresponding manuals were also revised.
The approval is based on Regulation (EU) No. 1321/2014 Annex Vc (Part-CAMO) CAMO.B.330, as last amended by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/1963 of 08 November 2021.
As part of our complete or flexible management solutions, we also offer CAMO services to helicopter owners.
Instrument flight operations in Bamberg
It is now possible to fly to the Bamberg-Breitenau airport under instrument flight rules (IFR). This means that approaches and departures are safer and more weather-independent than with the previous visual flight traffic. In addition, larger aircraft up to 10 tons takeoff weight can take off and land in Bamberg.
Business flights to and from Bamberg can be planned better under the new conditions and can also be carried out in poor visibility. This benefits Bamberg as a business location and its companies.
Extensive construction measures were undertaken for instrument flight operations, such as the shortening of a high-voltage line, the reconstruction of the weather station and the expansion of the approach and centerline lighting. The Aero Club Bamberg e.V. has been granted permission to operate the landing field according to visual flight and instrument flight rules. Furthermore, an approach lighting system may be erected.
The airspace in the vicinity of the airfield is established as a so-called Radio Mandatory Zone (RMZ) and classified as airspace E 1,000 ft AGL.
Cooperation between BHS Aviation GmbH and Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich
The Hotel Bayerischer Hof Munich is now also an official partner of BHS Aviation GmbH. Main part of this cooperation is the exclusive recommendation of flight services to the guests of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof as well as the recommendation of the Hotel Bayerischer Hof to the customers of the BHS Aviation Group. Thanks to a general permission for take-offs and landings outside airfields and airports, it is possible for us to fly the guests of both hotels as close as possible to their desired destination or to pick them up from there.

BHS Aviation, as a member and partner of the Drivers & Business Club Munich, offers members and guests exclusive access to customized flight services with VIP helicopters. BHS Aviation to become independent aviation company
BHS Aviation GmbH Bamberg has received approval to operate as a commercial aviation company from the German Federal Aviation Office. The Air Operator Certificate (AOC) is the prerequisite for transporting passengers, mail or freight by helicopter in commercial air traffic. In addition, BHS Aviation has been certified as Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization (CAMO) for helicopters and will further expand its helicopter management business on this basis.

New name, same service: BHS Helicopterservice and DC Aviation Switzerland are forming the BHS Aviation Group.
Bamberg-based BHS Helicopterservice GmbH is changing its name to BHS Aviation GmbH effective 1 October. At the same time, the subsidiary DC Aviation Switzerland AG is changing its name to BHS Aviation AG to create a uniform image with the slogan “Excellence in Business Aviation”. Nothing will change for the companies’ clients, because the services and contacts will remain the same.
The service portfolio now also includes professional aircraft management in addition to the executive charters for helicopters and business jets. As a licensed handling agent, the company can also take over business jet and helicopter management at Zurich Airport on request.

Successful appearance at the EBACE in Geneva
BHS Helicopterservice and DC Aviation Switzerland appeared with cooperation partner DC Aviation at the premier event and annual meeting place for the European business aviation community from 21 to 23 May. Over 450 exhibitors attended the European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition.
BHS took advantage of the platform to make yet another announcement: Swiss business aviation service provider Speedwings Business SA and BHS Helicopterservice GmbH with its Zurich subsidiary DC Aviation Switzerland AG have agreed to a future cooperation. The letter of intent was signed by representatives of the companies on 21 May at the Payerne Airport booth. The partnership is aimed at expanding services offered at Payerne Airport in Switzerland to include business flights with helicopters and helicopter management.
Following the acquisition of DC Aviation Switzerland, this collaboration is another important step for the expansion of BHS Helicopterservice’s business activities in Switzerland.
BHS Helicopterservice takes over DC Aviation Switzerland
The Bamberg-based provider of exclusive helicopter flights is diversifying its portfolio of services with the acquisition. BHS Helicopterservice GmbH and its subsidiary DC Aviation Switzerland are planning on expanding their charter helicopter flight business and helicopter management service in Germany and Switzerland.
The close partnership between DC Aviation Stuttgart and BHS Helicopterservice established in 2016 will continue unchanged for now. Both companies will still operate flights with business jets and helicopters. In the future DC Aviation Stuttgart will focus on its core business with airplanes, while BHS Helicopterservice and its subsidiary DC Aviation Switzerland will concentrate on helicopters.
